Pyongyang, September 30 (KCNA) -- There is the Pyongyang Schoolchildren's Palace on Jangdae Hill in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK.

It has all necessary conditions for bringing into full bloom hopes and talents of schoolchildren including 200-odd hobby rooms, theatre, gymnasium and library.

The great leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung personally initiated the construction of the palace, chose its site and gave detailed guidance to the whole course of construction.

Since its foundation on September 30, 1963, the palace has made a proud development as a base for extracurricular education of schoolchildren thanks to the deep interest and special loving care of the peerlessly great men who put forward the rising generations as the king of the country.

The palace was awarded the Order of Kim Il Sung, and its officials and teaching staff received state commendations and honorary titles.
