Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, received a reply message from To Lam, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Luong Cuong, president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on September 26.

The message said:

We express heartfelt thanks to you, Comrade, the party, government and people of the DPRK on behalf of the Vietnamese party, state and people and on our own behalf for sending a congratulatory message of best wishes on the occasion of the 80th national day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The Vietnamese party, state and people hope to more substantially and effectively develop the traditional friendly relations between Vietnam and the DPRK in the interests of the peoples of the two countries in order to contribute to maintaining peace, stability, cooperation and development environment in the region and the rest of the world.

We express the conviction that the two countries will successfully organize a plenty of significant events to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and "2025, the year of Vietnam-DPRK friendship" according to the will and determination of the top leaders of Vietnam and the DPRK and through the joint efforts of ministries, departments and sectors of the two countries, thus contributing to more substantially and effectively developing the traditional friendly relations between Vietnam and the DPRK in the future.
