Pyongyang, September 21 (KCNA) -- Potato harvest began at the farms in Ryanggang Province, the DPRK.

The province organized the economic work to make preparations for potato harvest in a qualitative way.

Samjiyon City is intensifying the technical guidance so as to conduct potato harvest as scheduled, while giving precedence to evaluating the crop estimate and mobilizing the manpower and mechanical means.

The mechanized workers of all farms in Taehongdan County are taking good care of the machines to attain high results in potato harvest. The Nongsadong and Hongam farms record good results every day amid the competition among farms and workteams.

Paegam County has set a proper time for potato harvest and directed all efforts to the fulfillment of the farming processes. In particular, the county strives for the transportation and storage while giving precedence to harvesting potato in seed fields.

Farms in Pochon, Phungso, Kim Hyong Gwon and Unhung counties and other regions fully mobilize the manpower and means to increase achievements. -0-
