Photo Exhibition Opens to Mark 80th Founding Anniversary of KCU

Pyongyang, June 2 (KCNA) -- A photo exhibition "Glorious 80 years covered by the Korean Children's Union under the great care" was opened with due ceremony at the People's Palace of Culture on June 1 to mark the 80th founding anniversary of the KCU.

On display at the venue of the exhibition are photos showing the revolutionary exploits of the great leader Generalissimo Kim Il Sung, the great leader Generalissimo Kim Jong Il and the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un who provided the precious tradition of the Juche-oriented children's movement and trained the rising generations into true sons and daughters and young revolutionaries who will shoulder the future of the country.

Attending the opening ceremony were Ju Chang Il, secretary of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the youth league and schoolchildren in Pyongyang.

Paek Un Chol, chairman of the C.C., Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made an opening address.

The speaker referred to the fact that the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un showed the great affection to make sure that events for marking the 80th KCU birthday are held with splendor amid the blessing of all the people.

He stressed that all the KCU members should prepare themselves to be young revolutionaries intensely faithful to Marshal Kim Jong Un, competent revolutionary talents equipped with knowledge, good moral character and good health and young patriots doing good things to be helpful to the building of a prosperous country.

At the end of the ceremony, the participants looked round the exhibition venue. -0-
