Pyongyang, February 27 (KCNA) -- A grand art performance was given at the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium on Thursday to commemorate the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The venue of the performance was filled with great joy and excitement of the audience as it would be saturated with all-people praise for and trust in the great Workers' Party of Korea which set a new signpost for the steady prosperity of our state and its advance and leap forward after reviewing with pride the sacred five-year journey that brought about victories and glory through heroic pioneering and indomitable struggle.

Among the audience were members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee and other members of the ninth-term Party central leadership, delegates and observers to the Ninth Congress of the WPK, special guests, and members of the congratulatory groups of Koreans in Japan and the General Association of Koreans in China.

Put on the stage of the performance, which began with the prelude "Song to the Motherly Party", were songs reflecting the ardent loyalty and reverence of the Korean people and service personnel of the People's Army for the WPK, the great mother to whom they entrust their destinies and future and follow to the last, and famous songs on patriotism.

The performers, through the numbers, paid high tribute to the great exploits of the Party which brought the centuries-old desire of the people into reality and put the prestige and reputation of the country and the people on the highest level in history.

Colorful numbers were filled with the spirit and pride of the DPRK where the Party and people are confidently ushering in a new era of comprehensive national rejuvenation favored by the people by breaking through the upheavals of history, united as one organism sharing destinies, intention and affection. They excited the audience to make them feel tender sentiment and boundless joy.

The performance reached the climax with famous songs reflecting the iron truth that only eternal dignity and glory are in store for the DPRK and its people as they are led by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who is bringing earlier the bright future of the rich country with a strong army by carrying forward the great unity, advance and victorious tradition as the eternal blood vessel of our revolution.

The performance, that fully displayed the revolutionary enthusiasm and single-hearted devotion to realize all dreams and ideals on the road of following the glorious Party Central Committee, ended with an all-people hymn "Dear Father".

The art performance commemorating the Ninth Congress of the WPK firmly demonstrated the iron faith and mettle of all the Party members and other people to give full play to their loyalty and patriotic enthusiasm in the course of struggle for the great new victory with redoubled self-confidence and vital power by cherishing the boundless glory and pride of invariably upholding the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un as the general secretary of the WPK. -0-
