Agricultural Workers in Kumya County of DPRK Move into New Houses

Pyongyang, December 25 (KCNA) -- A fairyland village showing the socialist rural civilization has appeared at the township farm in Kumya County, South Hamgyong Province of the DPRK.

The panoramic view of the township farm, where modern dwelling houses with peculiar regional features and refined beauty have been built in keeping with unique regional-industry factories, clearly shows the change in the era of the Workers' Party.

Present at a ceremony for moving into new houses held on the spot were Wi Chol Su, secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the Party and power organs in Kumya County, builders and agricultural workers.

Ri Kwang Hyok, vice-chairman of the South Hamgyong Provincial People's Committee, made a congratulatory address.

The licenses for the use of houses were handed over and speeches made at the ceremony.

Then, the agricultural workers moved into new houses amid the playing of lively peasant music and cheerful dance.

Officials of the Party and power organs visited the owners of the new houses to share joy with them. -0-
