Pyongyang, June 20 (KCNA) -- The Party-member battalions, which were dispatched to Ryanggang Province of the DPRK, are making progress in the next-stage construction of public buildings and rural houses in the spirit of completing the construction of hundreds of single- and low-storied houses in different parts of the Paektu area.
The Pyongyang Municipal Party-member Battalion, which built new houses at the village of the Saphyong Farm in Kapsan County last year, is setting an example in the construction of the cultural hall in Saphyong-ri.
The South Hamgyong Provincial Party-member Battalion is carrying on the project to build hundreds of meters-long river embankment and dig thousands of cubic meters of riverbed while stepping up the construction under its charge.
The South Phyongan Provincial Party-member Battalion mainly completed the roofing work of single- and low-storied dwelling houses and started the project for interior and exterior plastering. It is constructing a pumping station and water collecting well to provide the rural houses with drinking water.
Other Party-member battalions are striving to attain the phased goals.
In response to the spirit of the Party-member battalions, cities and counties in Ryanggang Province, including Kim Hyong Gwon, Unhung and Samsu counties, are putting spurs to the construction of rural houses. -0-
