Pyongyang, January 20 (KCNA) -- A croaker pedigree farm has been built at the Ongjin West Sea Fish Farm in the DPRK.
The pedigree farm has an office building, welfare facilities, hatching ground and cage-nets.
It is another stride forward in sea farming that the decision of the Workers' Party of Korea on building a croaker pedigree farm in South Hwanghae Province was carried out to lay a foundation for mass-producing tasty and nutritious fishes of higher quality.
An inauguration ceremony of the pedigree farm took place on the spot on January 19.
Present there were officials of the Party and power organs in South Hwanghae Province and employees of the provincial fishery management bureau and the fish farm.
Minister of Fisheries Song Chun Sop addressed the ceremony.
