Pyongyang, February 19 (KCNA) -- The Third People's Art Festival for Celebrating February 16 closed in the DPRK. The festival performances were given at theatres and halls in Pyongyang and other parts of the country to mark the 84th birth anniversary of Chairman
Its closing ceremony took place at the East Pyongyang Grand Theatre on February 18.
Present there were So Kyong Nam, vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials concerned, the festival participants and working people in Pyongyang.
The jury announced the results of the festival.
An ensemble prize was conferred on the successful nine art works, a creation prize on three persons, an acting prize on 11 persons, and a group prize on 30 units.
Diplomas and cups were awarded with prizes.
A letter of loyalty to the respected Comrade
Pak Kyong Chol, vice-minister of Culture who is vice-chairman of the festival organizing committee, made a closing address.
