Pyongyang, May 15 (KCNA) -- Organizations of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea (UAWK) in North Hwanghae Province of the DPRK are intensifying the work to raise enthusiasm for scientific farming.

The provincial committee of the union has organized science film and video show to broaden the view of its officials and members.

Amid the brisk dissemination of agricultural science and technology, interest in advanced farming methods and technology is growing among the agricultural workers.

Agricultural workers in Sariwon City and Hwangju County have made positive use of farming programs to select suitable varieties of crops and seedtime and manure and cultivate them according to their peculiar characteristics.

The union organizations at the Kangbuk Farm in Kumchon County and the Kachang Farm in Sohung County have introduced effective cultivation methods to promote photosynthesis and activity of roots of crops and raise their resistance to harmful insects and lodging.

Agricultural workers in Unpha, Yonthan and Junghwa counties are solving technical problems arising in farming while positively making collective discussion and consult on applying the carbonated plant nutrient.

Similar successes have been made by the union organizations in Sangwon, Sungho and other counties. -0-
