Pyongyang, October 18 (KCNA) -- The Academy of Forest Science in the DPRK has intensified researches for raising a scientific level in creating forests of economic value.

The Economic Forest Institute has increased the per-hectare yield of Corylus maxima and established a new cultivation technology to raise the economic effectiveness of various kinds of wild fruit trees

The forest experiment analytical institute has lowered production cost of nutrient solution and realized domestic production of raw materials, and studied a nano-activate fertilizing method to reduce the amount of fertilizer used in growing saplings of needle leaf and broad leaf species and shorten the date of production.

Similar successes are witnessed at the Forest Machine Institute, the Forest and Plant Engineering Institute, etc. -0-
