Pyongyang, April 1 (KCNA) -- The Scientific Research Prize was awarded to exemplary university students of the DPRK who have distinguished themselves in study and scientific research activities.

University students across the country presented valuable inventions and technical innovation proposals substantially conducive to the implementation of the Workers' Party of Korea's Regional Development 20x10 Policy and the national economic development by displaying their unabated ardor and extraordinary research spirit.

A meeting for awarding the University Student Scientific Research Prize took place at the Central Youth Hall on March 31.

Present there were Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, officials of the youth league and university students.

Diplomas and medals of the prize were conferred on more than 600 university students across the country including Kim Il Sung University and Kim Chaek University of Technology.
