Projects for Expanding Capacity of Storing Water Completed in Ryanggang Province

Pyongyang, December 11 (KCNA) -- Ryanggang Province in the DPRK completed the projects for expanding the capacity of storing water planned for this year.

Hyesan City built newly or expanded sedimentation basins and reservoirs and completed the project for laying several thousand meters of water supply conduits to supply more satisfactorily the quality domestic water to its inhabitants.

Kim Hyong Jik, Unhung and other counties built new reservoirs to provide favourable conditions for supplying domestic water to their inhabitants.

And the province built new pumping stations in Kanggu-dong and Ryonbong-dong No. 1 in Hyesan City and restored defective water supply equipment to their original states.

The province is also making preparations for the projects for expanding the capacity of storing water in several cities and counties next year. -0-
