Pyongyang, August 18 (KCNA) -- The agricultural sector of the DPRK is concentrating all efforts on improving the growth of crops in keeping with the disastrous abnormal weather.

Anak, Paechon and Sinchon counties of South Hwanghae Province have introduced effective water management methods and improved the activity of rice roots with necessary nutrients.

North Phyongan Province has directed all efforts to the work for eradicating the aftermath of flood damage while putting the nutrition care of crops on a scientific and technological basis.

North Hwanghae Province has taken immediate steps to get rid of factors that might have adverse effects on crop yields while raising the scientific level of manuring and cultivation of crops.

The same is true of farms in Pyongyang Municipality, South Phyongan Province and Kangwon Province. -0-
