Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- On the occasion of the national day, the DPRK people are recollecting with deep emotion the immortal exploits of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who further consolidated the powerful self-defence capacity of the country.

In his speech made on the occasion of September 9, 2024, the founding anniversary of the DPRK, Kim Jong Un said:

Strong power - this just means a genuine peace and an absolute guarantee for the development of our state.

Steadily enhancing the capabilities of our army for fighting a war so as to cope with the regional security environment on its own initiative and to defend the sovereignty, security and interests of the state by dint of a powerful strength is the most important of the state affairs of our Party and government and the primary task of the revolution, he stressed.
