Pyongyang, November 10 (KCNA) -- The Central Tree Nursery under the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection is a large-scale sapling production base that produces tens of millions of saplings of more than one hundred species every year.

The tree nursery, whose capacity for producing saplings increased as compared with more than ten years ago, has also produced saplings for urban greening and sent them to different parts of the country.

It is associated with the guidance of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who has made ceaseless efforts to cover the whole country with trees and flowers.

One day in November 2014, Kim Jong Un visited the tree nursery and gave instructions on its work including expanding the nursery to produce more saplings, perfecting the method of planting and tending trees suited to the characteristics of the country and developing forest science and technology.

Kim Jong Un paid deep attention to producing saplings, sent saplings of good species and seeds to the tree nursery and led the work for modernizing it including building outdoor cultivation grounds.

True to his noble intention, the officials and employees of the tree nursery have put the sapling production on a scientific, industrial and intensive basis of a higher level, thus contributing to covering the whole country with trees and flowers.

The tree nursery has steadily updated the technology of sapling cultivation and increased the species of trees with economic and ornamental value.

The saplings of tens of species produced by the tree nursery are contributing to creating useful forests in the country.

The tree nursery has established a tele-consultation system with the sci-tech learning spaces of the tree nurseries in provinces, cities and counties and exchanged technology with them, thus propelling the sapling production across the country. -0-
