People Move into New Houses in South Hamgyong Province of DPRK

Pyongyang, May 30 (KCNA) -- A new appearance of changes has been displayed in Kongdok-ri, Hongwon County, South Hamgyong Province of the DPRK.

Low- and single-storied houses and terraced houses of modern, cultural and diverse character for hundreds of families were built in sunny places and trees of good species and flower shrubs planted around them to form a peculiar landscape. Those new farm villages show a bright prospect of the countryside vibrant with new culture and life of socialism.

A ceremony for moving into the new houses took place on the spot on May 28.

Present there were Choe Hung Jo, secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials in Hongwon County, builders, working people and agricultural workers to live in at the new houses.

Kim Yong Sik, chairman of the South Hamgyong Provincial People's Committee, made a congratulatory address.

Licenses for the use of houses were handed over and speeches were made.

At the end of the meeting, officials visited the owners of the new houses to share joy with them. -0-
