Women in Jangyon County of DPRK Advance into Raw Material Bases

Pyongyang, March 3 (KCNA) -- More than 120 women's union officials and members in Jangyon County, South Hwanghae Province of the DPRK, have volunteered to work at raw material bases for implementing the regional development policy.

More than 70 women in the Rakyon Workers' District decided to work at the Evodia daniellii Benn forest station with the desire to devote themselves to the regional transformation work, like the women workers in the preceding generations who devoted their all to the society and collective.

Many women's union members in the county township, who volunteered to work at raw material base station, are filled with the enthusiasm to glorify their worthwhile life at the worksites of patriotism for bringing earlier the future of a prosperous and powerful country unfolded by the Workers' Party of Korea, not being confined to families.

Among the volunteers are officials of women's union primary committees and women's union members known as labor innovators at worksites in their maidenhood, and women full of enthusiasm to become honorable socialist workers before their husbands, children, neighbors and collectives.

A meeting to congratulate the volunteers took place on March 2.

Present at the meeting were officials concerned and women's union officials and members. A congratulatory address and speeches were made there.

At the end of the meeting, a congratulatory art performance was given and officials and members of the women's union presented bouquets to the volunteers and warmly saw them off. -0-
