Pyongyang, December 3 (KCNA) -- South Hamgyong Province in the DPRK has built a new sports village.

The peculiar sports village has a gymnasium, lodging quarters of sportspersons, football training ground and others as befits the comprehensive sports and cultural base. It is another base conducive to the development of the country's sports and the people's cultural and emotional life.

An inaugural ceremony of the sports village was held on December 2.

Present there were officials in the province, officials concerned, players and coaches of the sports teams in the province, working people in Hamhung City and employees of the sports village.

Pak Hyon Chol, chairman of the South Hamgyong Provincial People's Committee, made an inaugural address.

After the ceremony the participants looked round various places of the sports village. -0-
