Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- Fruit farms across the DPRK are directing efforts to improving the taste and quality of products by manuring and tending fruit trees in a scientific and technological way.

The Sariwon Fruit Farm is directing big efforts to preventing damage by harmful insects.

This year, it has increased the variety and quantity of agricultural chemicals on the basis of the experience gained in the production and use of various kinds of vegetable agrochemicals including pyroligneous acid.

It has also established a rational fertilizing method to lower the cost of fruit production and raise the efficiency of extermination of harmful insect to the maximum.

The Onchon Fruit Farm is paying constant attention to the nutrition care for fruit trees.

After producing a lot of quality organic fertilizer, it has concentrated its efforts on increasing the utilization of machines while stepping up the application of topdressing of fertilizer according to the plan.

The Toksong Apple Farm, the Sukchon Youth Fruit Farm and other farms are pushing ahead with every farming process including spraying agrochemicals, conducting the summer pruning as scheduled. -0-
