Pyongyang, June 20 (KCNA) -- The Sports Contest of Revolutionary Schools-2026 took place from June 17 to 19.

The contest brought together players selected from Mangyongdae Revolutionary School, Chilgol Revolutionary School, Nampho Revolutionary School and Saenal Revolutionary School.

Among the spectators were Ju Chang Il, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials of the WPK Central Committee, officials of the youth league and armed forces organs, and teaching staff and students of the revolutionary schools.

The participants in the contest, divided into Myohyangsan, Kumgangsan, Kuwolsan and Chilbosan teams, played sports and amusement games.

They displayed team spirit, unity and sports technique they have trained in ordinary time and played fair games.

The events of military games, which showed the shooting skills of students, aroused admiration and applause of the spectators.

Players displayed their competitive spirit in the ball games including football and basketball.

The amusement games were held amid the enthusiasm of the cheers.

In the contest, Mangyongdae Revolutionary School came first in the men's category and Chilgol Revolutionary School in the women's category.

At a ceremony of awarding prizes, pennants and citations were awarded to the excellent teams. -0-
