Pyongyang Orphanage Marks Its Founding Anniversary

Pyongyang, April 3 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Orphanage marked its 80th founding anniversary.

On April 3, 1946, President Kim Il Sung took a measure to bring up the orphans entirely at the state expense and paid deep attention to their living.

During the Arduous March, Chairman Kim Jong Il saw to it that foodstuffs, non-staple foods and others were supplied to orphans on a preferential basis and all of them grew up with nothing more to desire under the benefits of the state.

Thanks to the loving care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, the Pyongyang Orphanage has been successfully built into a happy cradle of orphans and a palace of children in which their beautiful dreams and hope come true, fully demonstrating the advantages of the socialist system.

He personally chose the site for the orphanage on the picturesque bank of the Taedong River and guided the whole course of its construction. On January 1, 2015, he visited the newly-built orphanage to bless the orphans on the New Year and appreciated their simple art performance, bestowing great benevolence repeatedly.

The song "We Are the Happiest in the World" is resounding at the orphanage under the care of the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

A commemorative meeting took place on Thursday.

Present there were officials concerned and officials and employees of the orphanage.

Choe Song Ran, director of the Pyongyang Orphanage, made a report. -0-
