Pyongyang, June 2 (KCNA) -- The activities of the scientific farming promotion team are being conducted in different parts of the DPRK.

Since April, hundreds of members of the scientific farming promotion team took many scientific and technological measures for improving the growth conditions of tens of thousands of hectares of wheat and barley fields and conducted more than 1 400 rounds of field lectures for sowing rice and maize seeds and cultivating and tending them in a scientific way.

The team dispatched to South Hwanghae Province has treated thousands of tons of rice seeds with advanced seed-covering material and installed electric impulse water treatment device at over 900 pumping stations, thus successfully conducting rice transplanting by dint of science.

The team dispatched to South Phyongan Province is directing efforts to solving technical problems arising in the production of high-quality multi-nutrients for rice seedlings and ensuring conditions for increasing the operation rate of high-speed nutritive rice-transplanting machines.

Members of the team dispatched to North Hwanghae Province toured farms in the province to effectively give more than 850 rounds of passing-on technique and technical lectures.

The team dispatched to South Hamgyong Province is organizing a tele-questioning and answering system for farming techniques in the province and making competent scientists and field workers give lectures to disseminate advanced farming techniques and good experience. -0-
