Pyongyang, April 3 (KCNA) -- A flower basket in the name of the organizing committee of the April Spring Friendship Art Festival was laid at the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill here on the occasion of the opening of the 34th festival.

Also placed at the statues of the great leaders were flower baskets in the name of the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Academy Ensemble of the National Guard of the Russian Federation, the Maritime Territory Music Association, the Ryazan State Academic People's Chorus Named after E. Popov, the Lao State Art Troupe, the Lao National Acrobatic Troupe, a Russian singer Sergei Voytenko, Korean soloist and party in China and Choe Kol, general manager of the Sobaeksu Culture Proliferation Co.
