Pyongyang, March 26 (KCNA) -- The Academy of Pedagogical Science in the DPRK started the project to set the target for rapidly developing the educational science during the new long-term plan, according to Rodong Sinmun.

The academy drew up plans for carrying out the long-term goals and the first-year tasks of the Five-Year Plan, while directing primary efforts to the research for giving wide publicity to the educational ideas and theories and leadership exploits of the Workers' Party of Korea.

This year, it has planned to make a big stride in opening up new fields by directing efforts to writing books on theories on the long-term management of postgraduate education and universities and colleges and education statistics, measurement and evaluation.

It worked out plans to solve the pedagogical problems arising in training many talents by implementing the new educational programmes in primary and secondary education sectors and the subject educational programmes at universities and colleges from the new school year.

Contained in them are projects for research into new fields such as the development and introduction of educational aid programs by AI and the study of educational apparatuses and materials.

The academy is focusing on the study of methods of learning foreign languages, the methods to be used at educational units this year. -0-
