Pyongyang, June 17 (KCNA) -- Modern regional-industry factories in the DPRK, which were built as the first entities of the regional rejuvenation, have turned out various kinds of quality products.

The Tongsin County Garment Factory in Jagang Province has introduced into production a garment design program developed by Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry, thus getting a big profit from it. The introduction of advanced scientific and technological achievements made it possible for the factory to mass-produce various kinds of clothing products suited to the tastes of inhabitants while raising cutting yield as compared with the past.

The Jangphung County Foodstuff Factory in Kaesong Municipality is producing various kinds of functional goods conducive to promoting the people's health by relying on the raw materials resources abundant in its region.

The factory set a goal to make the functional goods like fermented vinegar and sugar made from ginger, bean paste mixed with fruits of toothache tree and brined fruits of toothache tree represent its region and is directing efforts to its realization.

The Ichon County Daily Necessities Factory in Kangwon Province produces functional laundry soaps by using the fruits of Juglans cordiformis which grow well in its region, thus enjoying popularity among the people.

The factory is making efforts to produce not only laundry soaps but also liquid soap, detergent and shampoo with the oil of Juglans cordiformis. -0-
