Pyongyang, December 8 (KCNA) -- The Vietnamese newspaper Nhan Dan on Nov. 30 carried an article titled "Developing traditional friendship between Vietnam and the DPRK".

Carrying the photo of President Kim Il Sung meeting with President Ho Chi Minh, the paper said:

The traditional relations of friendship between Vietnam and the DPRK personally provided by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kim Il Sung have been developed by leaders of different generations of the two countries.

The two countries deepened mutual support and cooperation in accomplishing the cause of socialist construction.

The DPRK rendered selfless assistance to the Vietnamese people in the most difficult period of the Vietnam war.

Many successes have been registered in the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries over the past 73 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations.

Comrade Kim Jong Un's historic official goodwill visit to Vietnam in March 2019 served as an important milestone in the cooperative relations between the two parties and the two countries.

At the talks, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and Comrade Kim Jong Un congratulated the peoples of the two countries on the successes achieved in the revolution and construction and expressed the consistent stand to consolidate and develop the traditional relations of friendship.

We are sure that the long-standing friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries will steadily develop and contribute to accomplishing the socialist cause.

Meanwhile, the Vietnamese internet newspaper VTC News carried photos of Kim Il Sung visiting Vietnam under the headline of "President Kim Il Sung of the DPRK who paid an official visit to Vietnam in 1958". -0-
