Pyongyang, December 22 (KCNA) -- A joint online seminar "Leader in the era of independence" and an online photo exhibition "Dedication to the building of a prosperous country" were held by Brazilian political parties and organizations on Dec. 15 to commemorate the 13th anniversary of demise of Chairman Kim Jong Il.

Present there were personages of political parties and organizations, including the Brazilian Communist Party, the Brazilian Center for Peace and Solidarity with Peoples, the Brazilian Center for the Study of Songun Politics and the Brazilian Branch of the Korean Friendship Association, and members of the organization for the study of the Juche idea.

Speeches were made at the events.

A member of the National Political Committee of the Brazilian Communist Party said that when socialism collapsed one after another in different countries and the hostile forces reached the extremes in their moves to isolate and stifle the DPRK, Comrade Kim Jong Il, who was boundlessly loyal to the revolutionary line of President Kim Il Sung, led the Korean revolution to victory. Comrade Kim Jong Il, the eternal leader of the Korean revolution and the world revolution, is always alive in the hearts of the progressive people, he added.

The chairman of the Brazilian Center for the Study of Songun Politics and the chairman of the Brazilian Center for Peace and Solidarity with Peoples praised Kim Jong Il for his ideological and theoretical exploits, saying that he turned the DPRK into an invincible socialist fortress while wisely leading the Workers' Party of Korea.

Through the online photo exhibition, the participants were deeply impressed by the noble revolutionary career of Kim Jong Il. They said that today's socialist Korea is fully demonstrating the spirit and might as a powerful country thanks to his immortal devotion. -0-
