Pyongyang, May 21 (KCNA) -- Rice-transplanting is being pushed forward in rural areas of the DPRK.

The farms in South Phyongan Province drew up plans according to soil conditions and dates and have concentrated manpower and machines in areas with large paddy fields.

North Phyongan Province keeps farm machines in full capacity.

Agricultural workers in Pyongyang Municipality and North Hwanghae Province are ensuring the speed and quality of their farm work while meeting the technical requirements for rice-transplanting.

Kangwon and South Hamgyong provinces and Nampho Municipality are ensuring the number of rice seedlings per phyong according to fields and plots. -0-
