One day in September Juche 109 (2020), the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un visited Kangbuk-ri in Kumchon County of North Hwanghae Province.

He went round the village of the seat, once hit by natural disasters and now turned into a land of bliss, and dropped in at Kangbuk Senior Middle School.

Entering a classroom, he looked round the furnished classroom and told the accompanying officials that schools should be built at least at the level of this one, stressing the need to bring up children under good educational conditions and environment combining the family control of their parents with the organizational control at school to let them grow up with high ideals.

He said that farming is aimed at providing food for a year, but education is a talent farming which shapes the future of the country for 50 and 100 years. In this sense, the school is different from the farm fields and should be built in a far-sighted way, he said, adding that officials should have a correct outlook on the rising generation and direct efforts to education.

After leaving the classroom, he said that the outlook on posterity of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il who devoted their all to the children is a model of noble patriotism to be followed by officials and that it is a manifestation of patriotism to bring up the younger generation well.

That day, the respected General Secretary expressed his determination to continue to push ahead with the work of improving the education of the country, and earnestly called on cities and counties to build up the educational facilities in a proper way so that children can study in a highly civilized environment.
