One day in September 2015, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un met an official and said that the letters reading "Hero Youth" should be inscribed on the front of the dam of the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station No. 1.

And he said that as there is a spillway in the center of the dam, the letters "Hero Youth" could be divided into "Hero" and "Youth" and inscribed separately on the left and right sides of the spillway.

Looking up to the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un, who is so solicitous to glorify the heroic feats of the young people forever along with the dam of eternal value, the official was excited.

A few days later, the respected General Secretary gave instructions again as regards the inscription of "Hero Youth" on the dam of the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station No. 1.

He stressed the need to depict a torch between the letters "Hero" and "Youth" to fill in the space that occurs when the letters "Hero Youth" are carved on the left and right sides of the spillway.

The letters "Hero Youth" and the torch emblem on the dam of the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station No. 1 are conveying forever the great love and trust of the respected General Secretary to record the feats of the young people before the times and history. -0-
