One day in September 2016, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Ryongaksan Spring Water Factory.

After looking round the room for education in the revolutionary history, room dedicated to the history of the factory and other places, the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un recalled the exploits of Chairman Kim Jong Il for the factory and said with great pleasure that the Ryongaksan Spring Water renowned as the one for longevity has been supplied to the citizens of the capital city in all seasons under the loving care of Kim Jong Il.

That day, the respected General Secretary said that the supply of spring water to the people is not merely a matter of providing the people with drinking water but a matter related to the spirit of serving the people, indicating the tasks for normalizing the production of spring water at a high level.

And he gave detailed instructions to make a law on assessing the quality of spring water and controlling its production.

The "DPRK Law on Spring Water Maintenance" was adopted thanks to the noble intention of the respected General Secretary to establish a national system that reliably guarantees the quality of spring water for the people. -0-
