Pyongyang, May 14 (KCNA) -- Kim Song Nam, member of the Political Bureau, secretary and director of the International Department of the C.C., Workers' Party of Korea, met Le Hoai Trung, member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., Communist Party of Vietnam and foreign minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on a visit to the DPRK as a special envoy of the general secretary of the CPV Central Committee who is president of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, at the Pyongyang Assembly Hall on May 13.
Kim Song Nam said that the WPK would further boost exchange and cooperation with the CPV as the DPRK-Vietnam friendly relations have been put on a new level with the historic Pyongyang meeting of Comrade
Le Hoai Trung informed him of the successful 14th Congress of the CPV and expressed the steadfast stand of the CPV to develop the friendly relations between Vietnam and the DPRK which have been firmly consolidated on the road of advancing the socialist cause.
Both sides discussed the issue of strengthening the political ties between the WPK and the CPV and other topics of common concern and reached a consensus of views on them.
Present there from the DPRK side were Vice Department Director Mun Song Hyok and other officials of the International Department of the WPK Central Committee and from the Vietnamese side the special envoy's party and Le Ba Vinh, Vietnamese ambassador to the DPRK. -0-
