Pyongyang, May 17 (KCNA) -- In the new era of rural rejuvenation unfolded by the Workers' Party of Korea, modern rural houses are being built throughout the DPRK.

More than 20 000 rural houses are under construction with different and peculiar shapes in 130 cities and counties this year. Among them many rural houses in Yokgudo-ri of Paechon County, Rajinpho-ri of Yonan County and Sinsaeng-ri of Chongdan County in South Hwanghae Province, Osongsan-ri of Kimhwa County in Kangwon Province, Rajin and Sonbong districts in Rason Municipality and Songrim City and Sungho County in North Hwanghae Province are nearing completion.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, with the will to turn all the rural villages across the country into rich and cultured socialist ideal villages, indicated the orientation and ways for realizing it at the Fourth Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea in December 2021.

In October 2024, he guided on the spot the rehabilitation of the flood-hit areas in Jagang Province and gave instructions on building rural houses peculiar to their regional features.

True to his intention, more than 500 designers from all provinces, cities and counties came to Pyongyang and are conducting the architectural designs at the final stage.

The agricultural workers are full of belief in the Party's programme for the rural revolution and optimism about the future, witnessing dwelling houses which are under construction in good harmony with the surrounding environment of relevant areas, while preserving their peculiar characteristics and taste in all cities, counties and villages.

Proud entities of rural rejuvenation are rising one after another in different parts of the country, following the above-said cities and counties where housing construction is nearing inauguration. -0-
