Pyongyang, March 19 (KCNA) -- Officials and builders in the field of rural construction are making preparations for rural construction, according to Rodong Sinmun.

The central headquarters for rural construction has directed efforts to completing the layouts for new rural villages as required by the new policy of the Workers' Party of Korea.

And it has taken steps to supply enough cement for rural construction in close contact with officials in the field of railway transport.

It also urges cities and counties to step up the supply of manpower, the training of skilled builders, the provision of construction equipment and tools and the production of blocks and aggregates.

The Pyongyang municipal headquarters for rural construction has conducted the organizational and political work to ensure that districts and counties make material and technical preparations for rural housing construction this year. As a result, 120 000 cubic meters of mixed aggregates and millions of blocks have been secured so far in the city.

Preparations for rural construction are being made in Sariwon City, Yonthan and Koksan counties and other parts of North Hwanghae Province.

South Hwanghae Province has built up its construction forces while increasing the production of finishing building materials.

North Phyongan Province is carrying on the work to reinforce its city and county construction brigades.

Cities and counties in South Hamgyong Province have updated production lines for coating materials and tiles to expand the capacity.

Cities, counties and districts of North Hamgyong Province cement the foundations for producing sanitary ware, plastic pipes, paint and other finishing building materials.

Officials and working people in various provinces are modernizing the finishing building-materials production processes while paying attention to storing cement for rural construction without any waste. -0-
