Pyongyang, March 13 (KCNA) -- A stamp exhibition opened with due ceremony at the Korean Stamp Exhibition House on March 12 on the lapse of 80 years since the first stamp was issued in the DPRK.

Displayed at the exhibition on the theme of "Looking back on the 80-year history of Korean stamp" are more than 1 400 kinds of stamps and securities with their issuing dates. They show the proud history of Korean stamps.

Also on display are stamps of various themes and forms presented by philatelists in Pyongyang.

Attending the opening ceremony were Ju Yong Il, minister of IT Industry, officials concerned and philatelists in Pyongyang.

Also present were foreign guests including members of the diplomatic missions here. -0-
