Pyongyang, February 11 (KCNA) -- Teaching courses were held in cities and counties, South Hamgyong Province of the DPRK, to improve the qualifications of teachers, according to Rodong Sinmun.

The provincial teaching institute selected excellent instructors from the city and county teachers' retraining institutes and made them prepare for the teaching courses on a high level.

Instructors of the Sapho District Teachers' Retraining Institute in Hamhung City applied various teaching methods to put the qualifications of participants in the course on a higher level.

The Sinpho City Teachers' Retraining Institute made teachers acquire the teaching methods and experiences for enhancing the intellectual ability and creative application ability of students.

Kowon and Hongwon county teachers' retraining institutes concentrated on making the participants grasp the content of lectures by using multimedia programs and teaching aids.

The teachers' retraining institutes in other areas ensured the effectiveness of lectures so that new teachers could actively apply teaching methods, thus contributing to the improvement of their qualifications. -0-
