Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- Following are major news items and articles in leading newspapers of the DPRK on Monday:

- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un paid a congratulatory visit to the Ministry of National Defence. (photos accompanied)

- On the occasion of Army-Founding Day,

Officials, service personnel, working people, youth and students laid flower baskets at the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il across the country.
