Pyongyang, April 26 (KCNA) -- There was a meeting between Jo Yong Won, chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, and Vyacheslav Volodin, speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, at the Kumsusan State Guesthouse on April 25.
Present at the meeting were Kim Hyong Sik, vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Kim Jong Gyu, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, officials concerned, leading members of the official delegation of the Russian Federation and Vladimir Topeha, charge d'affaires ad interim of the Russian embassy here.
Jo Yong Won said that the dispatch of a high-level delegation to the inaugural ceremony of the Memorial Museum of Combat Feats at the Overseas Military Operations by the leadership of the Russian Federation is a manifestation of sincere support and reverence of all the Russian people for the Korean people who are recollecting in humble reverence the shining lives of the war martyrs of the overseas military operations units and praying for their immortality, expressing the stand to boost the bilateral relations true to the noble intention of the top leaders of the two countries.

The meeting exchanged the issues arising in further boosting the exchange and cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries and opinions on mutual concerns and reaffirmed the will of both sides to thoroughly implement the agreements reached at the historic DPRK-Russia Pyongyang summit.
The DPRK Supreme People's Assembly hosted a reception in welcome of the official delegation of the Russian Federation at the Kumsusan State Guesthouse that evening. -0-
