Pyongyang, November 29 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers in the forestry sector in Ryanggang Province of the DPRK are striving for increased production while consolidating the foundations for timber production in winter.

The overhaul of trucks and tractors and the construction of dozens of boarding houses were completed in a short span of time, and roads extending nearly 100 kilometers and forestry railway sections extending dozens of kilometers were newly built or repaired.

The provincial forestry management bureau has intensified policy-oriented and technical guidance for the living conditions of workers and the repair and maintenance of equipment, pavement of roads and preparation of tools.

Officials of the provincial forestry management bureau and the forestry station and the mine timber production station have remodeled the boarding houses while providing the workers with sufficient supplies. -0-
