North Phyongan Provincial Designing Institute Marks Its 70th Birthday

Pyongyang, March 24 (KCNA) -- The North Phyongan Provincial Designing Institute in the DPRK marked its 70th founding anniversary.

President Kim Il Sung took a step to organize designing institutions for the successful postwar reconstruction in all provinces, foreseeing the victorious future amid the flames of the Fatherland Liberation War, and saw to it that the then North Phyongan Provincial Designing Office was established.

Chairman Kim Jong Il saw the blueprints and dioramas submitted by the institute several times, and energetically guided the work of thoroughly applying the Party's Juche-oriented idea on architecture.

The designing institute, which had developed into a reliable one contributing to the economic development of the province and the improvement of people's standard of living under the leadership of the President and the Chairman, greeted a new phase of its development thanks to the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

Over the past years, the institute has ensured on the highest level the work of courteously erecting the statues of the great leaders and designs for building the bases for education in their revolutionary history, and creditably carried out the designing tasks for major construction projects in the province.

A meeting took place on March 23 to mark the 70th founding anniversary of the North Phyongan Provincial Designing Institute.

A report was made at the meeting attended by Kim Thae Song, secretary of the North Phyongan Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and officials and employees of the institute. -0-
