First-Term Winter Camping Begins at Songdowon Int'l Children's Camp in DPRK

Pyongyang, January 10 (KCNA) -- The first-term winter camping of schoolchildren started with due ceremony at the Songdowon International Children's Camp in the DPRK.

Present at the ceremony, held on Jan. 9, were Paek Song Guk, chief secretary of the Kangwon Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, Ju Mun Jin, chairman of the Kangwon Provincial People's Committee, officials concerned, officials and teaching staff of the camp and campers.

The participants in the ceremony laid a floral basket and bouquets before the statues of the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il at the camp and paid tribute to them.

The sound of a bugle heralding the start of camping was resounded. Then the campers responded to the slogan "Let us be always ready for the socialist country!"

They made a schoolchildren's salute, vowing to prepare themselves to be true sons and daughters of the socialist country who are knowledgeable, virtuous and healthy and reserves for the building of communism, bearing in mind the love and trust of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un.
