Pyongyang, March 11 (KCNA) -- The Cabinet and organs for economic guidance are organizing the brisk economic work for putting the overall socialist construction on the track of firm qualitative development and epoch-making leaps forward, along the bright path of national prosperity indicated by the Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The Cabinet is mapping out a plan to successfully attain the first-year goals for the new long-term plan with the main emphasis put on realizing the unified, long-term, scientific and rational guidance and management of the overall national economy and elastic and efficient guidance and management.

A positive measure is being taken to eliminate the deviations revealed in the economic guidance and management and find and apply innovative methodology so that the guidance and management under the Cabinet responsibility system and Cabinet-centred system prove effective in the economic work.

The relevant units are discussing the ways arising in making clear progress in all fields, including more thoroughly establishing the discipline for carrying out the national economic plan, after vividly setting the long-term goals from the development-oriented viewpoint.
