Pyongyang, May 29 (KCNA) -- Farms in North Hwanghae Province and Kaesong Municipality of the DPRK finished the rice-transplanting on the main areas.

Kumchon, Sohung and Sinphyong counties of North Hwanghae Province finished rice-transplanting in a qualitative way by pushing ahead with the preceding processes including watering and harrowing of paddy fields as planned.

Agricultural workers in the cities of Sariwon and Songrim and Hwangju County have expanded their successes while ensuring the number of plants per phyong.

Farms in Pongsan and Yonthan counties enhanced the role of tractor drivers, operators of rice-transplanting machines and seedling suppliers and raised the operation rate of farm machines, thus transplanting seedlings on a large area of rice fields every day.

Suan, Rinsan and Thosan counties ensured the speed and quality of farming, and agricultural workers and helpers in Junghwa and Sangwon counties, too, finished rice transplanting through emulation drive.

Similar successes have been witnessed at the Samgo Farm and the Haeson Vegetable Farm of the Kaesong Municipal Rural Economy Committee, the Sinso Farm and the Oksan Farm in Kaephung District and farms in Phanmun District and Jangphung County. -0-
