Pyongyang, April 1 (KCNA) -- The DPRK Ministry of Urban Management is pushing ahead with the work to give a face-lifting to the country and provide the people with more civilized living conditions and environments.
The ministry worked out detailed stage-by-stage plans for providing living conditions for inhabitants, including the repair of dwelling houses and public buildings, and is carrying them out.
In cooperation with the relevant units, it expands the production capacity of domestic water in provincial seats, repairs the defective water supply and sewage pipes in a qualitative way, increases the capacity of purifying sewage and builds a rational heating system in Pyongyang.
It is also stepping up the preparations to create a peculiar natural landscape with millions of trees of good species and more than 4.1 million flowering plants and modernize parks, pleasure grounds and tree nurseries.
Practical measures are being taken to increase step by step the proportion of urban management done by machines while readjusting the production process of utensils and tools for greening and securing machines for greening and road management according to the standard. -0-
