Pyongyang, January 31 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers of the General Bureau of the Tanchon Area Mining Industry in the DPRK have turned out in a drive for attaining their goals for this year.

The Komdok Mining Complex is directing efforts to ensuring the smooth operation of equipment to increase the mineral production.

The Kumgol Mine has striven to register good mining results with high enthusiasm to add luster to the honor of the 1 00 000-ton Mining Platoon of Loyalty and 1 000-meter Tunneling Platoon of Loyalty this year, too.

The Taehung Youth Hero Mine has increased ore production by ensuring the full operation of mining and transport equipment and improving the technical condition of equipment in the crushing system. It has also pushed ahead with the work to boost the production of quality clinker by the two-stage calcination method.

Ryongyang and Paekbawi mines are concentrating efforts on the massive mining of high-grade ores while ensuring the output and backflow of ores by focusing on technical management of heavy machines.

Officials and workers of the Tanchon Smeltery, the Tanchon Magnesia Factory, the Tanchon Mining Machine Factory and the Songjin Fireproof Material Factory, too, are registering successes in carrying out their economic tasks. -0-
