Pyongyang, May 5 (KCNA) -- In Kumya County, South Hamgyong Province of the DPRK, there is the Kumyagang Power Station No. 2 known throughout the country as it has been built in a profitable way to make use of rich water resources.
The power station adjacent to the Kumyagang Army-People Power Station operates generators even in the dry season without seasonal influence as it uses the water flowing down after the large-scale hydroelectric power station produced electricity and the water flowing down from several valleys.
All the people of Kumya County are saying with pleasure that the power station produced electricity by using the river water flowing down after being used at a large power station and sent electricity needed for the economic life of the county and the dwelling houses and that they do rice farming in a safety way by using the hot water.
The county built the Kumyagang Power Station No. 2 with its own efforts seven years ago.
Giving field guidance at the power station one day in May 2019, the respected Comrade
He stressed the need to manage and operate the power station well as it is a great asset of Kumya County.
In order to increase the generating efficiency to the maximum, the power station has introduced an integrated automation system to normalize production while conducting load dispatch and water management in a scientific and technological way.
It has also developed a new water level measuring device suited to the actual conditions by directing great efforts to putting water management on a scientific basis of a higher level.
It has realized the automation of manual water intake gate operation, thus making it possible to increase the production of electricity with the same amount of water. -0-
