Pyongyang, February 22 (KCNA) -- Following are major news items and articles in leading newspapers of the DPRK on Saturday:

- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent a message of greeting to the chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan.

- There took place a seminar on the immortal leadership exploits of the peerlessly great men for Unjong Tea and the Korean-style tea culture.

- The chief of the Information Office at the DPRK Ministry of National Defence in a press statement warned that the DPRK will counter the enemies' strategic threat with its strategic means.

- There took place the 38th Science and Technology Festival of Kim Il Sung University.

- The press introduces the successes made in various units and parts of the country including the completion of the first-stage water proofing project by the North Phyongan Provincial Tideland Reclamation General Enterprise in the first district of the Aedo Tideland.

- An article says that no one in the world is more dignified and happier than the DPRK people who hold Kim Jong Un in high esteem.

- Officials, working people, youth and students of hundreds of units have toured the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt Paektu since the start of winter study tour.

- An article deals with the socialist rural communities changing with boosting the material and technical foundation to ensure the growth of agricultural production.

- Another article notes that the foodstuff factories newly built in 20 cities and counties are intensifying the work to normalize their production and improve the quality of products.
