Pyongyang, May 30 (KCNA) -- The Ministry of Forestry in the DPRK is stepping up the modernization of wooden ware production units.

It set up a goal for mainly completing the updating of the Wiyon Wooden Ware Factory within this year and has pushed ahead with it while providing favorable condition in a responsible manner.

The work for establishing assembling furniture production line using block board in the furniture workshop at the Kilju Plywood Factory is now being propelled under the guidance of the ministry.

After securing modern wooden ware production equipment of various kinds and building dust-free environment for production, the factory has now entered into the work for installing equipment.

Meanwhile, it merged the wood processing workshop and plywood workshop into a comprehensive wood processing base while repairing the whole buildings of the factory to meet modern aesthetic tastes.

The ministry is also accelerating the work to modernize the wooden fibre board production line at the Hamhung Wooden Ware Factory. -0-
