Pyongyang, May 11 (KCNA) -- The DPRK agricultural sector is briskly introducing advanced farming methods and techniques.

The Paeksok Farm in Sinchon County, the Sinsaeng Farm in Chongdan County, and the Sokchon Vegetable Farm in Haeju City of South Hwanghae Province, the Jehyon Farm of the South Phyongan Provincial Rural Economy Committee, the Honam Farm of the Pyongyang Municipal Rural Economy Committee and many other farms are applying the labor- and plot-saving method of cultivating seedlings in a greenhouse.

South Hwanghae Province has introduced the mulching cultivation method in many areas, including Anak, Unryul and Pongchon counties, to solve the shortage of manpower.

Many regions and farms, including Yomju County of North Phyongan Province, Yonggwang County of South Hamgyong Province, the Unjong Farm in Anak County of South Hwanghae Province, the Tongam Farm in Sunchon City of South Phyongan Province and the Jangchon Vegetable Farm in Sadong District of Pyongyang Municipality are pushing ahead with the work to increase the areas for introducing the organic farming method by mud snails.

Sinchon County of South Hwanghae Province, Sunchon City of South Phyongan Province and the Kumdae Farm of the Pyongyang Municipal Rural Economy Committee and many other areas and farms are stepping up the work to protect the land and introduce water-saving farming methods. -0-
